After a lot of digging and chiseling at the ice and snow engulfing the LTD, we were able to pull it out from the snow bank and the spot it has sat for probably more than a year. I put in a battery, pulled the distributor and primed the oil pump with a 1\/4″ deep socket and long 1\/4″ extension spun (counterclockwise) by an electric drill, topped off the coolant, added a little fresh gas, and fired it right up! It died a couple times, but idled nice once it was warmed up. It has no brakes and the rear passenger drum\/wheel was dragging and frozen up so after a little trouble, we got off all the old brake hardware.<\/p>\n

Here is my list of needs that I would like to address to reach my goal of driving this to the Mustangs Unlimited show in Manchester, CT on April 26<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Needs:
\n<\/strong> – brake proportioning issue
\n<\/span><\/em><\/strong>– mount vac. res.<\/span> deleted<\/em>
\n– retorque trans pan<\/span>
\n– reinstall visors
\n – wire horn<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/em><\/strong>– hanger for exhaust at rear<\/span> skipped<\/em>
\n– swap back to off road h
\n– stock mustang h pipe swap
\n<\/span> – cold dying issue resolved<\/span> throttle stop screw<\/em>
\n – Mustang shifter swap
\n<\/span>– permanently mount interior wiring<\/span>
\n– wipers<\/span>
\n– put back interior pieces that are off<\/span>
\n– front license plate bracket<\/span> fabricated<\/em>
\n – tail light bulb<\/span>
\n – convoluted tubing<\/span>
\n – new dipstick<\/span>
\n– battery tray<\/span> mustang<\/em>
\n– shim ac delete bracket for better pulley alignment<\/span>
\n– new serpentine belt<\/span> 060733<\/em><\/span>
\n – brakes: shoes & springs<\/span> pads ok<\/span><\/em>
\n– weld trans crossmember<\/span>
\n– center console gauge mounting plate<\/span>
\n– heater hoses<\/span>

\n– replace top end parts with powdercoated ones so the engine’s not so ugly temporarily painted<\/em><\/p>\n
